In the summer of 2008, Manfred Bleffert will offer art courses in California for the first time. This innovative artistic work will serve as a vehicle for developing new experiences of the world and one's own humanity. Through contemplative work, participants will gain deeper insights into the processes and products of the arts. Each course will be a transformative experience! Manfred has worked for many years to develop an original series of instruments. Many of his instruments are based on well know instruments, but have been developed further. They have a beautiful, rich tone and solid construction. The processes of building and playing are unified in Manfred's work. Participants will construct their choice of instrument(s) (triangle, glockenspiel, gong or tone rods), and will complete the course with a finished instrument. Depending on level of experience and the speed of work, participants may have the chance to build more than one instrument. www.manfred-bleffert.net |
