SUMMER EURYTHMY INTENSIVE SOUND CIRCLE EURYTHMY (BOULDER) THE MUSIC OF POETRY & POETRY IN MUSIC; An Exploration of Rhythm, Rhyme, and Resonance This year's Sound Circle Eurythmy Summer Intensive with David-Michael and Glenda Monasch takes place August 4-8 at Shining Mountain Waldorf School in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. What makes a poem so much more than merely its intellectual content? What are some of the key building blocks to uncovering the soul of a piece of music? Participants will have fresh and insightful experiences of poetry and music by discovering some of the unique ways in which eurythmy approaches such questions. One specific focus for the course will be working with a number of classical Greek rhythms in a variety of ways and coming to understand their archetypal formative power. Gain a heightened sensitivity to poetry, music, and eurythmy, as well as the pure enjoyment of moving together with like-minded seekers in the special atmosphere of Boulder in the summer! This course will prove useful for teachers, musicians, writers, parents, and anyone interested in the arts, education, and personal growth. Penetrating some of the world's great musical and poetic works to gain new insights can be a deeply challenging, and ultimately rewarding experience!Glenda and David-Michael are wise, full of warmth and humor, and very organized about the content and presentation of what they are teaching. They are also patient and encouraging to those of us who feel we "cannot do" eurythmy, and thus, we all learn to "do" it! — a previous course participant DAILY SCHEDULE: 9-10:30 am, 11-12:30 pm, 4-6 pm, 7:30-9 pm (The long break in the middle of the afternoon is to avoid the hottest part of the day, and give out-of-town visitors a chance to walk, sightsee, rest, etc.) Course Fee: $375-$500 (sliding scale)To register and/or for further information please contact Kim Youngblood at 303 442-7010 or
