The primary responsibilities of a host are finding a place to host the event and getting the word out, spreading information about the event, and enthusiasm about the NetworkM community. Below is a list of responsibilities that a host takes on. If this is something you would like to do, please read the information in the "Resources" link and then post a forum-post and start spreading the word. If you have any questions, email us at

. 1. Getting the Word Out There are several avenues you can take for getting the word out about your Meet-up, including: -Tell everyone you know, tell your neighbors, friends and family -Put something up your at local universities. -Emailing local listserves, Yahoo! Groups, and posting to Google Groups and, of course, people on NetworkM -Contact the local Anthroposophical Branch and putting a listing in their events calendar -Contact the local Waldorf school(s) and ask to include a listing about the Meet-up in their calendar -If there is a Waldorf or alternative High School in the area, invite the Juniors and Seniors, alumni/ae and even teachers and parents, to attend. and ask for some information! 2. Finding the Venue Finding a venue is not too difficult in most locations. Waldorf Schools are a great place to start. Churches, local community centers are often more then willing to support these types of meetings. If you need help in finding a place or have used up all your resources contact Matthew Temple at

. Remember, a living room is a perfectly good place, too. And if you can: 3. Preparing Participants Let people know what you would like them to bring (i.e. pencil, paper, etc) and, if you're going to do a potluck during or after, let the participants know to bring something with them to share. If they are not familiar with NetworkM, guide them to the site. You can also encourage a bit of dialog on the forums leading up to the event. Lastly, if you are comfortable asking for donations on behalf of NetworkM, that would be great. We operate 100% on gifts and donations - even the smallest amount helps. 4. You Are Never Alone Your Meet-up Coordinator is Matthew Temple; you can contact him at

. Matthew will be there every step of the way to answer questions, help you out when you need a little aid and to provide you with ideas that work for you and your group. In addition, there will be several “Host” emails, as well as a Forum for hosts who wish to exchange ideas, suggestions or feedback from past Meet-ups. Matthew will send-out reminders for you to remind you to contact your group participants, as well as provide you with good questions to start-off your Meet-up.
