May I assume that your Network M is for the “young at heart”?

When I first heard about it from Matthew Temple, I was intrigued by it.  Not knowing quite what the M stood for, I related it to the 10 years I spent in  South Africa, where I had to add Many extra pages in my address book for  the letter M because most names of the black friends started with M.

It is worthwhile to think a moment about that mysterious letter M. The first word out of a baby’s mouth mostly is Mama. The words Man and Woman have not only the M but also the N in it. Like in the work Money. Life is all about Giving (M) and Taking (N), whereby the M is more an expression of
Sympathy and the N of Antipathy.

These were my first thoughts before I heard that the M in Network M  actually stands for Michael. I was very enthusiastic about the fact that many of us may have the opportunity to find Michael on the internet.

I have had the privilege of growing up with the concepts of angels and of angel hierarchies. But I, somehow, also brought this knowledge with me, especially the fact that I could always call on the Archangel Michael. Growing up one goes through phases where one might feel very alone and abandoned. I specially sought out these kinds of experiences like living as a white woman in a black neighborhood. Or, doing Eurythmy and counseling in prisons with male prisoners only. Or, being then married in 1980 and remarried in 2002 to one of the people I counseled then. That person is supposed to come “home” to me after having spent a total of 33 years in prison. It is not going to be easy, but I know I can now, as in all the other situations, always count on Michael. So does my husband.

        “O Michael,
I give myself into your protection
And connect myself with your guidance
        With all my heart
So that my day may become an imprint
        Of your destiny-ordering Being."

Isn’t that what we need: the possibility that order can be brought into the destiny of mankind, by trying to realize this first in ourselves?

If anybody feels touched by my words, I would love that person (those people) to respond, either through Network M or contact me directly (Truus Geraets at This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it ). What one can do together is so much more than what one can do alone. I have taken on a task way to big for this 78 year young person. If you care to look at our website www.waldorfafrica.org you will know what I am talking about.

Thank you for letting me chip in a few words.
